D1 – Welcome to Marrakech airport.
Transfer to Essaouira (about 3 hours drive) by private taxi.
Night at the hotel.

D2 – Transfer to our stables in Diabat (3 km from Essaouira), the departure point for the trek.
Meeting with the team and your horse.
Beginning of the trek along the Oued El Ksob, we will pass various shrub forests to reach the small village of Ghazoua.
Donkeys, goats and sheep will cross our path.
Picnic lunch.
In the afternoon, we will cross above the village of Sidi Kaouki, then onto a little beach to join the bivouac, located next to the ocean. (Possibility to spend the night in a guest house).
Tea and Moroccan pastries will be waiting for you at the camp. You are then free to enjoy the sunset in front of the sea.

D3 – After breakfast, we will leave on horseback towards Essaouira.
Expect lots of long deserted beaches. We will pass a small fishing village and continue our journey through the forest. We will break for a picnic lunch and following a series of sand dunes and beaches we will arrive at our destination; Diabat.

Expected arrival at stables around 3.30pm.
Transfer back to Essaouira.
Night at the hotel.

D4 – Transfer back to the airport.

Traditional Moroccan dinner. Night under a tent (possibility to spend the night in a guest house instead).

D4 – After breakfast, we will leave on horseback towards Essaouira. Expect lots of long deserted beaches. We will pass a small fishing village and continue our journey through the forest. We will break for a picnic lunch and following a series of sand dunes and beaches we will arrive at our destination; Diabat.

Transfer to the village of Tamri (about 2h drive) with a private taxi. Meeting with the team, dinner and overnight in a hotel.

D2 – After breakfast you will meet your horse.
We will skirt the Atlantic coast, following a series of dunes to our over-night bivouac camp in the village of Tildi.

D3 – After breakfast, departure by horse we will follow a path in the forest of argan trees. In the afternoon we will go down to the beach of Aftas Imerdetsne, where we will camp for the night. Tea and pastries at the camp.

D4 – After breakfast, we will leave the beach to join the legionaries trail along the cliffs to the dunes of Tafedna, where we follow the dunes back down to the beach. We will enjoy a good gallop until we arrive at the village of Cape Tafenli, where our bivouac is.

D5 – After breakfast, we will continue through a forest of argan trees, crossing small villages. In the afternoon we will descend to Marabout Sidi Ahmed Saih, located at the edge of the beach. We will set-up camp on the beautiful beach of Iftane with breath-taking views of the sea.

D6 – After breakfast, we will go back on our horses for a trek along cliffs and breath-taking landscapes, towards the waterfalls of Sidi Mbarek, where we will stop for a picnic lunch.

Desert trek, Drâa Valley

D1 – Welcome at Ouarzazate airport.
Transfer to Zagora (3 hours drive).
Meeting with the team, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

D2 – After breakfast continue to the stables to meet your horse. The route for the trek follows the Oued Drâa, along palm groves and irrigation canals. We will come across typical villages and the interesting Kasbah and Ksar of the area. Dinner and overnight in bivouac.

D3 – Departing after breakfast, we will trek through the gorges of the river Oued Drâa. With its breath- taking landscapes. We picnic near the ruins of an ancient Ksar before descending to Ait Isfoul and its lush palm groves.

D4 – In the morning, we will continue through the palm groves, then we cross the Foum Larjam pass from where there are stunning views of the dunes surrounding M’hamid, it is a great time for a beautiful gallop across the plateaux which leads towards Ouled Driss.
Dinner and overnight in bivouac.
D5 After breakfast we continue through the sand dunes, with the Sahara desert visible on the horizon, we bivouac near an oasis well in this remote and wild landscape.

D6 – The track is sometimes sand (erg), sometimes stone (reg), but the wide expanse of desert surrounds us. Where two Saharan tracks intersect, we will climb (on foot) the small mountain range of Jbel Bani which is a walk of about an hour and a half.

D7 – Depart early in the morning to return to Zagora. A great chance to enjoy your last trots and gallops through the palm trees.

Farewell dinner with the team.
