Terms & Conditions
1. Scope of Application
These Terms & Conditions apply to all riding experiences offered by Equi Evasion, including short rides (1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, sunset rides, day rides) and multi-day rides. By booking any experience, you accept these terms in full.
Group bookings are bookings of 6 or more guests that include a multi-day ride or three or more rides within the same stay. They are subject to the additional terms in sections 2.3, 2.4 and 3.3, which take precedence over sections 2.1, 2.2, 3.1 and 3.2 for all rides booked as part of the stay.
2. Booking & Payment
2.1 Short Rides (1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, sunset rides, day rides)
Payment is due in full at the time of booking. No deposit system applies to short rides.
2.2 Multi-Day Rides (up to 5 guests)
A deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due no later than two months before the start date.
2.3 Group Bookings (6 or more guests)
A group booking is a booking of 6 or more guests that includes either a multi-day ride or three or more rides within the same stay (short rides, sunset rides, day rides or a combination). The start date is the date of the first ride booked. Groups of 6 or more guests booking fewer than three rides, none of them a multi-day ride, are not group bookings and are subject to section 2.1.
A deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking. The full remaining balance is due no later than four months before the start date.
2.4 Changes to Group Size
The price per guest is based on the group size at the time of booking. Guests can be removed from the booking up to four months before the start date. If the group size changes, Equi Evasion may adjust the price per guest accordingly and will inform you in writing before the final payment is due.
The group booking terms (2.3 and 3.3) apply for the entire booking, regardless of later changes to the group size. The minimum payable group size is 6 guests: if fewer than 6 guests take part, the booking will still be charged for 6 guests.
Guests removed up to four months before the start date are not subject to a cancellation fee, as long as the minimum payable group size of 6 guests is respected. Guests removed after the four-month deadline are treated as cancellations under 3.3.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
3.1 Short Rides (1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, sunset rides, day rides)
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the ride to receive a full refund.
Cancellation 7 days or more in advance: full refund
Cancellation less than 7 days in advance: no refund
No-show on the day: no refund
Where a refund is due, it will be processed minus any applicable bank transfer or credit card transaction fees.
3.2 Multi-Day Rides (up to 5 guests)
Cancellation 60 days or more in advance: full refund of deposit, minus a €50 administration fee
Cancellation less than 60 days in advance: no refund
No-show on the day of departure: no refund
3.3 Group Bookings (6 or more guests)
Cancellation of the entire booking more than 4 months before the start date: 15% of the total price is retained, the remainder is refunded
Cancellation between 4 months and 60 days before the start date: 50% of the total price is retained
Cancellation less than 60 days before the start date: no refund
No-show on the day of departure: no refund
Where a refund is due, it will be processed minus any applicable bank transfer or credit card transaction fees.
3.4 Cancellation by Equi Evasion
If Equi Evasion must cancel an experience due to reasons within our control (e.g. horse welfare, safety concerns, insufficient group size), participants will receive a full refund or, if preferred, a credit toward a future booking. Equi Evasion is not responsible for costs already incurred by the participant, such as flights or accommodation.
3.5 Participant's Inability to Travel
Equi Evasion is not responsible for the participant's inability to travel, including due to flight disruptions, geopolitical events, or travel restrictions. Standard cancellation terms apply regardless of the reason for cancellation. As a goodwill gesture, Equi Evasion may offer a credit toward a future booking at its sole discretion.
4. Weather & Force Majeure
In the event of severe weather, natural disruption, or other circumstances beyond our control that make riding unsafe, Equi Evasion reserves the right to cancel or modify an experience at short notice. In such cases, a full refund or credit will be offered. We do not cancel lightly – but horse and rider safety always comes first.
5. Horse Welfare
Equi Evasion operates with a strong commitment to the welfare of our horses. This means:
Routes and distances are planned with the horses’ condition in mind
Participants are expected to follow all instructions regarding horse handling and riding
Any behaviour that, in our judgement, puts the horses at risk may result in termination of the ride without refund
We ask that participants respect the horses as working animals living in natural conditions.
6. Participant Responsibility
Participants must:
Disclose any health conditions, injuries, or physical limitations relevant to riding prior to booking
Have a level of riding ability appropriate to the experience booked
Follow all safety instructions given by the guide
Wear a riding helmet (required for all rides; rental helmets available on request)
Equi Evasion reserves the right to refuse participation if, in our judgement, a participant’s fitness or skill level poses a risk to themselves, others, or the horses.
7. Liability
Horse riding is an inherently risky activity. Participants take part at their own risk. Equi Evasion cannot be held liable for injuries, accidents, loss, or damage that occur during a ride, unless directly caused by negligence on our part.
Participants are strongly encouraged to arrange personal travel and accident insurance that covers equestrian activities before their trip.
8. Photography & Media
Equi Evasion may take photos or short videos during rides for use on our website and social media. If you do not wish to appear in any published material, please let us know before or at the start of your ride.
